Where: Tower
Bridge, London SE1
What:
Tower
Bridge, with its pale
blue lines and Gothic style, has stood over
the River Thames in London since 1894 and is one of the worlds
most recognisable
bridges.
The bridge
has an exhibition (the tower bridge experience), which describes
how it was built, its history and the role it has played in
the development of London. There are animatronics
and interactive displays plus fantastic views of the
Thames.
You can
also enjoy breath-taking views from the high-level Walkways
and visit the Victorian
Engine Rooms, home to the original steam engines that used
to power the Bridge.
The walkways
at tower bridge have specially designed windows which allow
visitors
to take photos of the views without
them being obscured by the glass.
