Quick review: Instead hiding them away in the kitchen, at benihana the chefs are out frount providing a food cabaret. Two or three chefs work their way around the room juggling, slicing, chopping and flipping as they prepare and cook the food at your table. It's as much fun watching other peoples food being prepared as it is eating and is a fantastic place to bring the kids.

Quick review: a really nice, light and airy conran restaurant on the trendy kings road. If you go at lunchtime they have a great, inexpensive set menu. The staff are great, almost too attentive, but not quite and you can see into the kitchen. Lots of chelsea ladies doing lunch, darh-ling!

Established in 1998 and with a well deserved three michelin stars since 2001. When he's not roasting his kitchen staff, Ramsay oversees a particularly intimate setup here - there are just 14 tables. Treats include tortellini of lobster and sautéed loin of venison with creamed cabbage and bitter chocolate sauce. Bookings are taken up to a month in advance, and getting a table can be difficult.
