Where: Northumberland
Avenue, WC2N 5DE
What:
In 1918 a group of British officers wait in the trenches at
St Quentin, preparing to make a daring dash across 'no
man's land' in advance of the German offensive.
Playwright
RC Sherriff used his own experiences of the front and life
in the trenches to create this touching play which,
although harrowing, reflects the humour and courage of the
men who fought in the first world war. What started as an 8 week
run has become "a triumph" (The Metro).
