What: The
natural history museum has exhibits and displays covering the
natural history of the world. Displays range
from dinosaurs and volcanoes to precious gems and creepy crawlies,
a full sized model of a blue whale hanging from the ceiling
and a huge, complete dinosaur skeleton.
The museum is set in one of the most impressive buildings
in London, close to south kensington underground station.
As well as
traditional displays,
the natural history museum features many stimulating visual
learn-and-enjoy
style
exhibitions,
including
in the hall of human biology, mans place
in evolution,
introducing ecology, dinosaurs and their living
relatives, origin of species. It
houses one of the finest natural history collections
in the world and is
one of the london's top visitor attractions.

at the natural history museum than you could ever see in one
day, so you need to take some time out to plan your trip, before
rushing in. Or you can join highlight and themed guided tours
of the museum, which
start
near the life
galleries entrance.

natural history museum is housed in a massive and magnificent
victorian building. With

hands-on working exhibits, the very latest interactive
displays,

programme of events and activities (including regular 'events for
