What: The
museum of garden history was formed by the Tradescant Trust
in the restored St. Mary at Lambeth
church in honour of the Tradescants - gardeners to Charles I,
and responsible for the introduction of many exotic plants into
England.
This is the
world's first museum of garden history, it is next to Lambeth
Palace,
the London residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Just across
the Thames
is the Palace of Westminster and the Houses
of Parliament and
a little further on is Tate Britain.

Entrance is free, but there is a suggested donation of £3.00
per adult and £2.50 for concessions. The museum of garden
history is independent, and not funded by Government, or by any
large organisation.
