Palace was designed by Sir Christopher Wren for King William
III in 1689. Kensington Palace has been a royal home for over
300 years and parts of the palace remain a private residence
for members of the Royal Family today. Queen Victoria
was born at kensington palace and lived there until she became
queen. More recently it was the London home of the
Prince and Princess of Wales.
Two parts
of kensington palace are open to the public, the magnificent
State Apartments and the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection, which
includes
dresses worn by HM Queen Elizabeth II and Diana, Princess of
Wales.

- 17:00 (last admission on hour before closing).
