Road, SE1
What: The
imperial war museum records and illustrates all aspects of
warfare, military and civil,
allied and enemy, in which Britain and the Commonwealth have
been involved since August 1914. The museum
is large and displays the usual range of tanks, guns, uniforms
and planes, plus a great 'secret war' (espionage and spys)
section
and, for those with a great interest,
unique collections of art, photographic and film records and
printed
and manuscript
material, much of which
is contained in the extensive reference departments.
They
also have some great activities for children
(if looking at tanks and guns isn't enough). Click on the website
