by Sir Edwin Lutyens, it now stands as a perpetual memorial to
‘The Glorious Dead’ of both World Wars. On the Sunday nearest
November 11th of each year, crowds gather at the Cenotaph for
the two minutes’ silence, and wreaths are laid by the Queen,
members of the Government and other mourners.
