Where: Clive Steps, King Charles Street, SW1.

What: Part of the Imperial War Museum, this is one of the Second World War bunkers used by Winston Churchill and his staffs. On display are the Cabinet Office, Central Map Room, Churchill’s Office and bedroom, the Transatlantic Telephone Room; all restored to their war time appearance.

Nearest underground station: Westminster

Opening times: Open daily except 24, 25 and 26 December. 1 October - 31 March 10:00 - 18:00 (last admission 17:15 pm); 1 April - 30 September 09:30 - 18:00 (last admission 17:15 pm).

Admission charges apply: (2005) Adults: £10.00, students / senior citizens: £8.00, children under 16: free
