What:
The Glyndebourne Opera is one of the world's best-known opera houses,
set in the grounds 'Glyndebourne', a magnificent country house in
the peaceful countryside of Sussex, between London and Brighton.
The tradition
of summer opera at Glyndebourne started in 1934, and continues today
in a 1200 seat opera house which opened 60 years later, in May 1994.

certain trains from London Victoria to Brighton stop at Lewes station
(there are bus connections from Lewes station to Glyndebourne)

(2005) ticket prices depend on the performance, but tend to be on
